'Sounds of Steel' ~
Billy Cooper
“Those who know Billy & Wanda Cooper know that
they are two fine Christian people. If you do
not know them, you will feel like you do when
you listen to this great CD. I can hear all of
Billy’s heart and soul in each song as he plays
them (Mr. Smooth). I mention Wanda because, as
they say, “behind every good man is a good
woman”, and I believe that to be true in this
case. So, add this CD to your ‘regular play’
list of CDs and you will be glad that you did!”

This is Billy’s first
instrumental recording. It was made after receiving repeated
requests for a CD with his unique arrangements of classic
country songs. It is a compilation of tunes originally
developed for use when teaching the pedal steel and the
ensuing printed instruction. And there are two songs which
showcase the fact that Billy is just as talented when
writing original material. If you like steel guitar music
you will enjoy this album. It is steel guitar in its purest
form. All the songs are instrumental and all the
arrangements are Billy’s. He recorded it with an MCI double
neck pedal steel and a Peavey Nashville 400 amplifier.
